Tubing Disappearing Plug 2 (TDP-2™)

Glass barrier system with internal remote removal mechanism

The TDP-2 builds on our original TDP barrier plug, adding improved installation and remote cycling capabilities.  It uses our laminated glass material, built into an ISO 14310 V0 certified barrier plug package. This provides a total seal against all fluids, under extreme conditions and even in situations with high differential pressure across the barrier.

Operational efficiency is improved with an internal removal system integrated into the plug housing, which completely protects it from the wellbore fluids. We offer the option to customize the TDP-2 design with debris extensions. This provides increased cycle open reliability when debris is expected.

FEATURES
Laminated glass. Our patented laminated glass barrier material provides a secure, non-corrodible seal under high temperature and axial loads, with ex­treme levels of differential pressure from both sides. It disintegrates into silica on removal.

Integrated installation. We have designed the TDP-2 to be installed and run as an integrated part of the completion string or liner. This increases the efficiency of the installation process and provides a large bore access when the plug is opened.

Integrated removal. The TDP-2 contains an internal cycle open device as the ­primary removal option.
