TCO AS, incorporated on the 29th of June 2001, installed the first ISO 14310 V0 Tubing Disappearing Plug, or TDP 1, on Statoil’s Norne field in 2004. TDP1 Installations for other major clients including BP, Shell, Dong and Total, both within and outside of the North Sea took place during the following four years.
In 2008 TCO launched the Tubing Disappearing Plug (Generation 2) or TDP2, which rapidly gained market share within the very competitive isolation valve arena.
In 2009 TCO established an office in the United Kingdom
In 2010 BP Norway commissioned the development of the Tubing Disappearing Plug (Generation 3) or TDP 3. TCO in the same year embarked on a major facilities upgrade project, which included the acquisition of Bergen CNC to increase TCO’s R&D capabilities, as well as, major investments in pressure, flow and explosive testing equipment to assist in new product qualification testing.
In 2011 TCO became the first local supplier of perforating services when they successfully perforated two 50m zones for ConocoPhillips Norway. Later that year TCO was awarded the contract for ConocoPhillips’s Plug & Abandonment (P&A) Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) scope of work. Also during 2011, TCO installed the first 7 TDP 3s for BP Norway and established an office in Russia.
Today TCO delivers products and services to many of the major oil and gas operators across the globe including Total, Statoil, BP, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Shell, Apache, Chevron, Marathon, Dong and Petrobras.
